As the name suggests, the project delves into understanding
the two most common alloys of copper : Brass and Bronze. This is
the beginning of a long endeavor to tap into the vast knowledge
embodied in the two craft-forms: The Thathera metal craft of
Punjab and the Dhokra metal casting of West Bengal through
careful observation, collaboration and hands-on experience in
making. The project looks at a sublime amalgamation of the two
Indian indigenous craft-forms - ਠਠੇਰਾ (Thathera)+ ডোকরা (Dhokra).
